Wow. How else to describe Disney I’m not sure.

This was the first time Mitch & I had been to Disney. Thankfully for us, John & Amy are super pros at it. We were pumped. We were ready… Or so we thought…

Our first day at Disneyland, we were a bit worried about not getting to the park in time, so we were up at about 5am and at the park at 7am… It didn’t open until 8.30am… But thank god we were because already hordes of people piling out of the trains lining up! An hour and a half later we started to notice a stirring near the gates and finally we were let it!

Once again, thank go we were there with the pros otherwise I don’t think we would have been able to get on anything. But Amy & John had a plan! Firstly, run! Or walk as fast as possible before getting told off by the Disney Cast Members, to put a fast pass down on one ride then off to Splash Mountain to line up. Splash Mountain was AWESOME! So much fun! And just a smidge wet!

The following few hours consisted of dropping an f-bomb (as Mitch came to call the fast pass) before running with to the next rode to line up in the mean time! The perfect system! By the time lunch had come around we were done with all the big rides and able to wander, explore and hit up a few of those smaller, classic, must dos, such as the Teacups (awesome) and Its a Small World (once again Amy & John I’m sorry for making you guys come on that! Worse ride EVER).

The park itself was just totally mind-blowing! The attention to detail was phenomenal! I’ve never been any where like it before! The rides totally enveloped themselves in a story and committed to it 100%!

Love it!

What was even more impressive was DisneySea! I had completely cast aside this park as Disneyland’s less impressive extra park. I was incredible wrong! It had better rides! A more amazing park wide theme! Better light shows! Everything!

By the time we got to this park we had this whole fast pass thing down to an art and cruised through the big name rides (with the exception of Toystory whose fast passes ran out not long after the park opened and had a two hour wait from the get go) by lunch. After lunch we wandered for a bit before Mitch & I piked in favour of a rest before continuing on that night.

We met up with Amy & John again just before the beginning of the Fantasia themed light spectacular on the water. So cool! Unfortunately we waited to watch the firework show after which was more than disappointing.

That’s ok though as it let some of the thousands of people leave the park. We headed over to Aladdin’s area and got on a carousel… Yup with horses and everything… Why not though, it’s Disney right?image

And ended the night with the surprisingly fun Jasmine’s Flying Carpets.image

Love Disney!image
